About the author:

Patrick Handley, PhD

Towson Dr. Handley obtained his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Missouri in 1980 with an emphasis in the areas personality assessment, career planning, and organizational development. Prior to founding the Insight Institute, Inc., he was a presenter for an international leadership-training organization, a performance improvement specialist in a HR consulting firm, and a training director at a large financial corporation. Before those positions, he was on the faculty at Virginia Polytechnic and State University and the University of Missouri at Kansas City, where he taught graduate level courses in personality theory and assessment.

Dr. Handley is the creator of the INSIGHT Inventory, author of two books, INSIGHT into your personality strengths and LEAD with INSIGHT…become the leader you want to be.

In 35 years of organizational consulting, Dr. Handley has helped numerous companies and educational institutions identify leadership potential, build teams, and integrate positive psychology into their talent development programs.
